She really wants to crawl - finally

Maggie Kate has finally decided that moving is good. She has been sitting up by herself for a while now, but has shown little interest in rolling over, sitting herself up, or crawling. Just this week she has become a little more mobile and she is very proud of herself.

Hanging new pictures

I just hung my new pictures of Maggie Kate. These are 3 month pictures of both of them. They favor more than I realized. Jennifer Tidwell (www.jenphotography.com) took the pictures of Cooper and Cassie Lawson (www.lawsongallery.com) took the pictures of Maggie Kate. Both were wonderful to work with. Cassie took this picture of Cooper and Maggie Kate and it is one of my favorite pictures of them! I hope he continues to love her this much ~ so far, so good (knock on wood.)

A Wonderful Sight!!

Maggie Kate has refused a bottle and most food for a while now. Today she took more than 6 ounces of this 8 ounce bottle! And, since I'm going back to work in January, I really needed this!!! Thank you Lord! And, we really should "not worry about the things of tomorrow."

Cooper loves to take pictures with my camera. I hope Santa will bring him his own camera for Christmas. Here are a few pictures he took today :)

A Friendship Has Begun

It is so amazing to see the love Cooper and Maggie Kate have for one another. They have just begun to play with each other and I look forward with eager anticipation to watching their growing friendship. I know Cooper is going to be protective of his little sister and Maggie Kate already adores her big brother. Most of the smiles on her face come as she is looking at him.

These are not the best photos and I appoligize (to you and her) for the lack of clothing, but they capture the memories so well.

Sweet Prayer of a 2 year old

Last night as we were going to bed, Cooper wanted to pray. As best as I can remember it, here is his sweet prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for this day. Thank You for to help us sleep. Thank You for to help us go to Chuck E. Cheese. Thank You for to help us clap. Thank You for to help us say Alabama. Thank You for to help us sing. Thank You for to help us sleep. Amen.

It made me very aware of how much he is paying attention to the world around him.

Here is a great recipe for diaper rash cream that my dad gave me when Cooper was little. He had a horrible diaper rash and I had tried everything for 3 days and this knocked it out in one application! It would be a good night cream for those rough hands or cracked heels.

My how time flies

Cooper and Maggie Kate are both getting so big.
Cooper is 2 2/3 years old (32 months) and Maggie Kate will be 7 months old in just a few days. Where has the time gone???

Yesterday I decided to let Maggie Kate try a wagon wheel for the first time. She ate, well ate and wore, 3 of them. They were carrot and she loved them. She is getting to be such a big girl. She "talks" alot now. She says dadadada, gaga, mmmm aaaaa, and does lots of squealing. She is in 6 month clothes now and some 9 month. Her feet are finally growing a little ~ size almost 1 :)






As for Cooper, he is growing up way too fast. He plays non stop from daylight till nap then from nap to bedtime. He is giving his pacis to Santa in exchange for some new toys, but somedays he is still on the fence about the whole idea. He made a wish list for Santa and said that he was going to see him this year. He said, "I'm not scared of Santa; he's a good guy." So far his wish list consists of a view master, swing set, doctor kit, new pajamas, Toy Story movie, Beauty and the Beast movie and a spiderman toy "with some balls for it to put in spiderman's mouth." Your guess is as good as mine on that one. His favorite movies right now are Cars, PEO - Pochahontas, 101 Dalmatians, Jungle Book and Lion King. He loves Thomas the Train, playing golf and working with his tools. Heplays with ALL of his toys, big and small. He is almost completely potty trained !!!!! We have not had an accident for two weeks now. He plays really well with Maggie Kate. He likes to make her laugh and to "check about her." I know they are going to be best friends.

Here are some new pictures of Maggie Kate. She is really growing. She is 6 months old now, has 2 little teeth, can sit up, and is finally sleeping. She loves her brother and can not take her eyes off of him if he is in the room. She will just laugh and laugh at him. It almost makes me cry. I can not wait to watch their friendship continue to grow.
